Step 1: Injury Rehab Initial Assessment

The first step on your journey to pain free living, is our 1.5 hour initial assessment. During this in-person appointment, our HCPC registered physiotherapist will undertake a detailed assessment of your previous medical history, your nervous system, your muscles, bones and joints, along with a clinical movement assessment. This will help us identify any imbalances, the source of pain and poor compensatory methods, ready to start treating you.

Step 2: Physiotherapy

After your initial assessment, you'll start working with our registered physiotherapist. Throughout your physio appointments, a joint focused approach to the source of pain will be taken. By focusing on the specific area highlighted during your initial assessment, we will be able to reduce pain from injuries, chronic conditions like arthritis and back pain, and post-surgical pain. You'll start to notice increases in range of motion, coordination, and strength, and increases in movement after injury, illness, or disability.

Step 3: Osteopathy

Once our physiotherapist is clinically happy with your progress, you're then ready to move on to working with our osteopath. During your osteopathy sessions, a holistic whole body approach will be taken to work on areas that have contributed to pain. We'll look to undo poor compensatory methods your body has adapted to simply 'get on by' and treat the body as a connected whole. This stage of your treatment pathway looks to prevent your pain from coming back and combines osteopathic principles with strength & conditioning.

Step 4: Sports Therapy and Return to Activity

At the start of our rehab care pathway, most people couldn't dream of returning to whatever their passion was, but it is now a reality. Working with our Sports Therapist, we'll return you to optimal physical function, whether for daily life, work, or high-level competition. Using principles from sports science, our therapist provides hands-on treatment, exercise plans, and biomechanical assessment to manage pain, improve movement, and enhance performance.
